The fourth day of the Test match between India and Australia is set to deliver yet another thrilling display of cricket.

Day 3 of the ongoing fourth Test between India and Australia proved to be a thrilling spectacle, highlighted by a heroic partnership between Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar. The duo came together at the crease with India struggling at 221/7, facing a daunting deficit of 253 runs against Australia.

Undeterred by the challenge before them, Reddy and Sundar forged a crucial partnership for the eighth wicket, adding 127 runs to the scoreboard. Their resilience not only helped India avoid the follow-on but also significantly reduced the first innings deficit. The day’s play was cut short by rain and bad light, with India finishing at 358/9.

Following the weather disruptions on Day 3, concerns arose among fans regarding the impact of inclement weather on the remaining two days of the Test. However, the forecast for Day 4 brings good news, with minimal chances of rain. According to weather.com, precipitation is expected to be at 5 percent by 11 am local time, increasing slightly to 10 percent by 2 pm. Overall, there are no significant threats of heavy rain throughout the day, promising uninterrupted play for fans.

Meanwhile, Nitish Kumar Reddy made history by scoring his maiden Test century against Australia in Melbourne on Day 3. The 21-year-old displayed remarkable composure and skill, crafting an unbeaten innings of 105* off 176 balls, including ten fours and a six. Reddy’s achievement also saw him become the third-youngest Indian to score a maiden Test century in Australia, at the age of 21 years and 216 days, following in the footsteps of Rishabh Pant and Sachin Tendulkar.
