Tennis LIVE updates: Australian hopes hang by a thread after clinical de Minaur victory

Ok, we have some answers…we think.

Australia MUST win the mixed doubles in straight sets, and they cannot lose more than FOUR games in total, if they want to progress to the quarter-finals as the best runners-up.

Captain Lleyton Hewitt has made a massive call, and will send out Olivia Gadecki and Alex de Minaur as his mixed doubles pair, instead of doubles specialists Matt Ebden and Ellen Perez.

Fun fact, Ebden won gold in the men’s doubles at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
